Cathy’s entire career has been in public accounting including 10 years with an international accounting firm in their Private Client Advisory Services Practice. Her practice areas include high net worth individuals, executive groups, closely-held businesses, trusts and estates. She is a Certified Public Accountant and also holds the designation of Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) from the AICPA.

Cathy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is a former board member of BCA/Burlington City Arts and a former member of the Investment Committee of the United Way of Chittenden County.

Karen J. Danaher, CPA, PFS

Karen’s career includes business management and public accounting including 15 years with an international accounting firm in their Private Client Advisory Services Practice. Her practice areas include high net worth individuals, closely-held businesses, trusts, estates and non-profits. She is a Certified Public Accountant and also holds the designation of Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) from the AICPA. In addition to an accounting degree, Karen holds a degree in business administration.

Karen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants. Karen is an Advisory Board Member of Prevent Child Abuse – Vermont and she serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Merchants Bank.

Matt joined Danaher Attig & Plante PLC as a Partner in 2016 upon relocation back to his home state of Vermont. His fifteen years of experience in public accounting includes tax consulting and preparation services for high net worth individuals and closely-held businesses and conducting audits, reviews and compilations for closely-held businesses, not-for-profit organizations and pension plans.

Matt‘s accounting career began in Vermont with a small accounting firm prior to moving to Washington, DC. In January 2004, he accepted a staff accountant position with Drolet & Associates, PLLC. He became a Partner with Drolet & Associates, PLLC on January 1, 2010 and continued as a Partner in the merged firm of Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell, PC.

Matt is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and currently holds CPA licenses in Vermont, Virginia and Washington, DC.

Ronald R. Plante, CPA

Ron’s entire career has been in public accounting including 18 years with an international accounting firm in their Private Client Advisory Services Practice. His areas of practice are concentrated in income tax compliance and planning services for closely-held businesses, real estate ventures, individuals, trusts and estates along with accounting, financial and consulting services for closely-held businesses.

Ron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants. Ron also serves as a Board Member of the Vermont Council on Economic Education and is a member of the Tax Committee of the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants. Ron also serves as Treasurer of the Vermont Bridge Association.
